NetworkED is a 501(c)(3) designed to create efficiencies for employers and K12 educators to better utilize each other’s resources. The goal is to address the growing gap that exists between students and the employers looking for a stronger workforce pool.
A deeper connection is needed between K12 educators and employers to better prepare today’s students for making pathway and career decisions. Meaningful engagement is key for increasing awareness and lessening the fear that often comes with the unknown.
Higher education institutions have been deliberate in developing extensive relationships with area K12 schools to fill academic pipelines with high school students.
Area businesses having similar relationships with K12 schools will provide students with an opportunity to be exposed to broader career alternatives in a more meaningful way. In fact, area business engaging more deeply with K12 schools may be the best opportunity for many marginalized students to find a gateway to the middle class.
