The NEUR research group unifies all clinical researchers from UZ Brussel, active in the domain of clinical and translational neurosciences. Researchers mainly belong to the UZ Brussel departments neurology, neurosurgery and psychiatry.
NEUR has extensive interdisciplinary expertise within the fields of (cognitive) neurosciences, clinical neurology, neurosurgery and psychiatry. Together, we have all necessary expertise and means to study neuromodulation, neuroprotection and cognition and biomarkers of cognitive decline in patients: neuropsychology, clinical neurophysiology, neurochemistry and neuropathology.
NEUR research focuses on cognition, neuromodulation and neuroprotection, in several CNS disorders like Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders, multiple sclerosis, stroke, neuro-oncology or mood disorders, among others.
