I mentor and peer coach people with ADHD, who are Autistic or have other neurodivergence presentations. I use a narrative therapy approach to coaching that incorporates intersectionality and social justice in order to better support the specific needs of neurodivergent people, particularly those who occupy spaces while navigating many overlapping oppressions in their daily lives.
I also support 10 years old and older students in better developing self-advocacy and executive function skills. The goal is to develop their abilities to access their strengths while increasing their confidence in how to manage their conditions and become the person they know they can be.
I also work with primary and middle schools as a Neurodivergent Educational Consultant helping them create neurodivergent-friendly spaces and support systems. This can include training teachers, speaking engagements and workshops with an intersectional lens around best practices, including anti-bias training and inclusive education guidance to better meet the needs of a diverse student population. This is bespoke to each school's needs.
As a teacher for the last 17 years with an MA in Educational Psychology, I also have post-graduate certifications in gifted education and twice-exceptional support, plus teaching English as an additional language, supporting ND students that has allowed me to accommodate and modify curriculum in order to meet varying emotional, social and skills-based needs
I started Neurodivergent Narratives (originally the ADHD good life) because while looking for information similar to my own experiences as a late in life diagnosed neurodivergent (ADHD), I couldn't find anything that represented my unique story. This led me to share my own experiences on IG and connect it to what I knew and understood from my years spent working with neurodivergent students as a specialist educator. I use this base to create bespoke support for the teens, adults and schools I work with today.
