NeuroNatal® is here to make pregnancy and birth safer for neurodivergent people.
Founded by ADHD midwife and perinatal mental health specialist Laura Spence, NeuroNatal provides training, consultancy, and education for maternity professionals who want to deliver more inclusive, trauma-informed care.
Neurodivergent people — especially those with ADHD, autism, or sensory processing differences — are more likely to experience trauma, dysregulation, and dismissal during pregnancy and birth. Our systems were not designed for our bodies or our brains.
We are changing that.
Laura was selected to represent the UK at CSW69 with UN Women UK for her work on gender and neurodiversity in perinatal care. She is also part of Cohort 9 of the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, where she is developing NeuroNatal into a national model for inclusive maternity innovation.
Her work brings together lived experience, feminist theory, and frontline midwifery insight to advocate for change that is systemic, not superficial.
