About NeuroNursing
According to the National Center for Assisted Living, the mortality rate for an individual moving into an Alzheimer’s care unit exceeds 50 percent within the first year. On top of that, high patient turnover rates also exist in these settings due to unsatisfactory relationships with the family members of these patients. Being a front-line professional in the field for six years, the CEO was not only exposed to the the true tragedy of dementia and how it affects patients and their families, but also exposed to the lack of data utilization used in the field to properly address decline and update care plans for these patients. Lack of communication between the nursing staff, lack of data collection and analysis, and lack of accountability can be causative factors in patient decline. On top of that, these facilities aren't utilizing technology-based, DEMENTIA-SPECIFIC marketing techniques to acquire new patients. NeuroNursing proposes a solution to these issues. Through our charting software, we focus on tracking subtle changes in dependency levels and behaviors that are specific to the dementia population, and we create enhanced communication within the nursing staff via a patient-condition notification system. We also focus on fostering better customer relationships via a family application that allows them to communicate directly with facilities. Through this software, we are also able to create CRM software that allows the marketing team to target their customers in the dementia population through online dementia care modeling, a communication platform with potential customers, as well as analytics about sales and marketing strategies in this space. Lastly, NeuroNursing is a research platform. We are in the process of building predictive models of decline based on behavioral and dependency level changes in activities of daily living.
