NeuroTech-NL

NeuroTech-NL is a public-private partnership in the Netherlands around neurotechnology including implants, brain stimulation, and artificial intelligence. Our vision is a world where the deaf can hear, the blind can see, paralyzed people can communicate, individuals with Parkinson's disease can move, and those with epilepsy can live without seizures. We bring researchers, doctors, and engineers, together with patients, industry, governments and non-governmental organizations to co-create technological solutions for unmet medical needs. NeuroTech-NL values innovation, co-creation, and impact. We establish programs that connect the development of technology platforms to the creation of major medical breakthroughs for patients. We forge the multidisciplinary consortia necessary to be successful around mission-driven funding calls. We currently focus on innovations in invasive neurotechnology for serious losses in neurological function. In time, we will even realize the development of consumer applications for human enhancement. NeuroTech-NL is invested in these areas: brain-computer interfaces, artificial intelligence, neurofeedback, deep brain stimulation, wireless technologies, implants and neural prostheses, and personalized medicine. A strong basis of academic and clinical partners founded NeuroTech-NL, and we now seek greater involvement from other partners – companies, health foundations, hospitals and governments – to further design and realize the initiative together. Partners will benefit from the burgeoning Dutch neurotechnology ecosystem: knowledge, technologies, access to clinical trials and funding for innovation.
