New Generation Tanks

New Generation Tanks develops ultra-efficient pressure tanks for the storage and transport of compressed gases and particularly for hydrogen. Made of recyclable thermoplastic composites, NGT pressure tanks have a unique fibre architecture and design with tapered ends that makes them conformable (long and thin, easy to integrate into a vehicle's floor or chassis). They are also up to 40% lighter than conventional Type 4 carbon fiber pressure tanks. Their carbon fiber structure is welded onto the tanks liner, which minimizes the risk of liner collapse and makes NGT pressure cylinders more durable, and with a facilitated cleaning and commissioning process. Improved durability, weight saving, conformability and recyclability are unique benefits that NGT brings to the market, contributing to making fuel cell vehicles more competitive and hydrogen transport's efficiency improved by a factor of 4 to 5.
