New Jersey Needs You

New Jersey Needs You (NJNY) prepares low-income, first-generation college students (only 11% graduate nationwide and 85% are low-income) to realize their college and career potential. Our two-year Fellows Program pairs first-generation college students one-to-one with young professional mentor coaches, delivers over 1000+ hours of college and career success training via Saturday workshops, provides assistance securing summer internships, and awards Fellows $2500 professional development grants for successful completion of the program. Our volunteer-driven Fellows Program commences this fall in northern New Jersey with 25 high potential, first-generation rising sophomores and juniors that reflect the ethnic diversity of New Jersey. NJNY is the first replication of the highly-successful New York Needs You Program and provides both our Fellows and volunteers access to our growing one-of-a-kind, cross-sector network of 1000+ professionals in New Jersey and New York.
