New Black Finance (NBF) is an independent finance and business consulting company providing cloud-based finance support and CFO consulting expertise to small and medium sized businesses. We work on a part time, as needed basis and recognize that each company will have varying needs. Our model allows clients to access ad-hoc advice from senior finance professionals without the commitment that comes with hiring a full time CFO or Controller. A key role we play is to allow owners to focus their efforts on growing and managing their key business priorities rather than getting tied up trying to manage the finance function. Our services include: CFO/Controller Services: o Management reporting & analysis & discussion o Provide advice, recommendations, and strategic input o Cashflow management & cash runway o Profitability & variance analysis o Identify & track KPI’s o Revenue recognition o Assist with budgets, ongoing forecasting & scenario planning o Consult on best practices, operational improvements, business changes/decisions o Assistance with HR issues as required o Oversee finance resources and provide training and guidance o Assist with CRA correspondence Bookkeeping Services (provided as an add on to our CFO/Controller service): o Supplier invoice processing & payments o Client invoice generation & collections o Project tracking & reporting o Process bank and credit card transactions, and reconcile the accounts o Payroll processing & related filings o GST/PST returns Insurance Services: o Employee Benefit Plans o Group Retirement programs o Private Health Services Plans (PHSP) o Corporate and Individual Life & Disability insurance, Buy/Sell Agreements, Key Person Insurance
