The fashion industry is the second largest polluter in the world, after the oil and gas industry with 90% of dyes produced from fossil fuels, and textile dyeing generating 20% of the world's water pollution. At Newera.bio our mission is to give the textile dyeing industry a revolutionary make-over. To achieve this, we are using a novel approach of blending synthetic biology with green chemistry to introduce a new class of microbially produced natural and colour-fast dyes. Our unique approach of combining biology with chemistry is made possible with our diverse team of expert synthetic biologists and organic chemists. Our ultimate goal is to create clean solutions for textile dyeing and strive to build a wholly sustainable and innovative fashion industry.
