The process usually starts by doing several overall visual concepts that later on will be narrowed down to the one you find most promising. Next phase would then be to 3D-modell it to get all function right and to create real looking renderings. After that we order prototypes to verify functions and to be able to see the product physically. Final step is then to put it in production in the quantity needed.
