The NewMet Group includes NewMet Limited, Packstat Limited and NewMet GmbH. The group specialises in materials technology in the aerospace, electronics, defence, mass transit, transport and high temperature technical materials areas. We also supply the glazing and automotive industries. NewMet Limited has been in business for over 70 years, and is based at a number of sites in and around Waltham Abbey, Essex. Packstat Limited is based in South Wales, and NewMet GmbH in Norderstedt, Germany. We are an approved material supplier to Airbus and many other leading companies. The three companies have ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D approvals. NewMet Limited and NewMet GmbH have ISO14001 approvals. We have an active manufacturing and specialist development facility. Our production capabilities range from polymeric extrusion and moulding to plasma treatment. We also have a wide range of converting equipment including laminating and 5 axis cutting capabilities. Our development is concentrated on our silicone, composite and shielding activities. Our product groups are: • Silicone Foam, Solid Silicone and Composites: Uses include seals, gaskets, fire barriers, adhesive backed tapes, infill strips, acoustic and thermal insulation etc. • Other foams: These include urethane, polyolefin and polyimide foam materials. • Carbon Composite Products: Uses include composites and carbon carbon products for tubes, flat sheets and complex shapes. • NewMet Koch high purity metals and inorganic chemicals: Catalogue sales to research and development organisations. • Electro Shielding Products and Materials: RFI shielding materials including paints, caulks and gaskets for use in aerospace and electronics. • Adhesive Tapes: These include acrylic and silicone adhesives and masking and protective materials.
