The NEW Program

The Newcomer Empowerment at Workplace (NEW) Program is a volunteer-based organization committed to empowering newcomers and advancing their communication and leadership skills to achieve career success. We focus on work-related topics in small group settings and take pride in giving newcomers the opportunities to lead, grow and thrive while they navigate the Canadian job market. Newcomers can benefit from: • Weekly sessions that boost your communication and leadership skills through presentation, panel discussion, and impromptu speech. • Learning how to lead and discuss work-related topics, such as conflict resolution, project success/failure, diversity and inclusion. • Improving your confidence, speech clarity, critical thinking and MORE.
