NewSpace Business Plan Competition is the flagship program of the Center of Space Commerce and Finance that aims to assist and showcase start-ups and expanding firms who can demonstrate both the ability to provide a return on investment and to contribute to the commercial development of space, advancing the NewSpace movement. Since 2006, we've showcased more than 60 new ventures at our annual competitions. The Competition seeks entries from seed, startup, or early-growth firms from the following fields: - Entrepreneurial space - Space-related - Space-scalable* Irrespective of niche, applicants must be able to explain why their product or service helps with the economic development of space. *Space-Scalable - is a more expansive definition of what a space business – or a space investment – is. Space-scalable refers to technologies developed for a commercial terrestrial purpose and to generate terrestrial profit which can also be deployed to solve key space problems as demand grows.
