About NexGenTE
Next-Generation Thermoelectrics for Sustainable Energy (NexGenTE) project is funded by the European Union's Next Generation EU initiative through the Recovery and Resilience Plan for Slovakia (Grant Agreement No. 09I03-03-V03-00094/2024/VA). Aligned with the EU's green energy transition, NexGenTE aims to significantly advance thermoelectric technology by developing high-performance thermoelectric materials. The project will establish a cutting-edge research team, equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, to pioneer the design and development of next-generation entropy-stabilized perovskite oxide oxides with substantially enhanced energy conversion efficiency. A key innovation lies in the development of a novel manufacturing strategy that combines entropy stabilization, nanostructuring, and vacancy formation to further enhance the thermoelectric performance of these materials. This innovative research will contribute significantly to the EU's ambitious goal of climate neutrality by 2050, enabling more efficient waste heat recovery and powering sustainable energy solutions across various sectors.
