Next Generation Broadcasting Kenya Ltd (NGB Kenya)
is a joint venture between the Swedish company Next
Generation Broadcasting (Africa) AB and the Kenyan
company Digital Broadcasting Transmex Ltd.
The founders of NGB were part of the team that
launched two of the most successful Digital Terrestrial
Television (DTT) brands in world namely Boxer in
Sweden and Plus TV in Finland.
Next Generation Broadcasting was created to launch
and market DTT platforms and brands in emerging
markets around the world.
Next Generation Broadcasting AB is backed by
the Sixth National Pension fund of the Kingdom
of Sweden and the International Finance
Corporation (IFC), among others
Today NGB has active presence in markets such
as :-
• Ghana
• Kenya
• Uganda
• Tanzania
NGB Kenya will be introducing its decoder
and Pay TV bouquet of channels in Kenya
over the next couple of months, under the
brand name Smart TV
Smart TV will target the middle to lower
income classes and offer them the added
value of world class entertainment of
leading channels, delivered affordably in
digital quality.
The Smart TV decoder will be capable of
receiving all the free TV channels that are
broadcast by Signet
