Next Generation Partners (NGP) is a “micro” private equity group of three former entrepreneurs. Each partner has had success starting, building, and exiting one or more companies. Each also has experience acquiring companies. NGP invests its own capital and does not currently have limited partners.
NGP is acquiring 2 or 3 companies by mid-2024 with the first one being ASAP. We target companies in PA, NJ, and DE with EBITDA (or SDE) of $300K to $1.5MM and margins of at least 15% in business and consumer services, distribution, niche ecommerce, and select light manufacturing. We prefer non-cyclical businesses that are at least 15 years old and have demonstrated slow, stable growth with durable customer relationships.
NGP takes an active role in its portfolio companies but does partner with existing management and sometimes a remaining owner to continue the owner’s legacy and work towards taking the company to the next level.
