NextGen Battery Technologies

NextGen Battery Technologies, LLC (NGBT) is developing the next generation of patented, safe, cost-effective, high-voltage, high-energy density, solid-state lithium battery architecture designed to outperform current industry standards of safety, energy density and cost. Our technology is readily adaptable to multiple form factors and manufacturing scenarios. Our focus is on deriving performance from the structure and composition of our materials and the optimization of surface reactions between them. Key innovations to date include our: • patented high-energy density cobalt-free cathode • patent-pending dendrite-blocking solid-state electrolyte, for which the company has received an NSF Phase II SBIR grant to support commercialization Our Development and Funding Partners: • US Army C5ISR NGBT has established a CRADA (Cooperative R&D Agreement) with the Power Division of the US Army C5ISR, its premier battery development organization.
