NextGen Somerset

A professional development network specifically designed for employees and apprentices in the early stages of their careers across the Somerset area. Founded by the Place Leadership Group in Yeovil 3 years ago, NextGen brings together individuals from a wide range of industries to build confidence, develop skills, and grow their professional networks. Each month, we offer varied and interactive sessions – from guest speakers and practical workshops to peer-led discussions and networking opportunities. Each month has a clear focus on one of our four core themes: Networking, Learning, Growing, or Community. These are usually held from 16:00 to 18:00 on the last Thursday of the month (though times and dates may occasionally vary). Alongside the core sessions, we also offer opportunities to take part in local charity and engagement initiatives throughout the year, encouraging teamwork and a stronger connection with the local area such as Home Farm Festival and Dress the Mess at Yeovilton.
