About National Research Program NRP 82 – Biodiversity and Ecosystems Services

The Swiss National Research Programme NRP 82 promotes scientifically grounded and socially relevant research on biodiversity and ecosystem services. Its goal is to explore trends, develop visions, and identify transformative pathways that enable Switzerland to meet or exceed the ambitions of the Global Biodiversity Framework (CBD) and the 2030 Agenda (SDG 15). The programme brings together over 30 transdisciplinary projects combining research and practice, and actively engages with stakeholders from politics, administration, business, and civil society.
