This is the world’s premier Forensic Sciences University recognized with the status of an Institution of National Importance. Originally established as Gujarat Forensic Sciences University in 2009, the National Forensic Sciences University was established by the Government of India through the Act, 2020 (32 of 2020) with the objective of fulfilling the acute shortage against the increasing demand for forensic experts in the country and around the world. Its vision includes fulfilling the acute shortage of Forensic Experts in the country and the world; Making the world a better and safer place to live and Promoting research in the areas of Forensic Science, Crime Investigation, Security, Behavioral Science and Criminology.
