NISD is a registered, nonprofit, secular, voluntary organization working for rural development. Since its inception in 1992, NISD has been highly successful in making meaningful and remarkable difference in more than 75000 lives through implementing varied programs for the underprivileged children, women, landless farmers, daily wages workers etc, in 65 villages of Sangamner and 32 villages of Junnar areas. Through its journey of 30 years, NISD has been privileged and honoured to work with more than 30 National and International reputed Donor agencies like CRY, Goonj, Govt. of India, Child Fund International, Save The Children Canada, IGSSS, Canada Fund, Australian High Commission, The KarunaTrust U.K, Consulate General of Japan, Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives etc. Vision: We want a world where inequality based on class, gender and religion is absent and no person will get exploited by any one.  We want a world where basic needs become basic rights and where poverty and all forms of exploitation are eliminated.  Each person will have the opportunity to develop her or his full potential and creativity, which will lead him/her towards sustainable development. Mission: To create awareness among the poor and deprived community, giving them opportunities according to their abilities, to upgrade their  educational, social, health and financial status, in an atmosphere of non-violence and non-discrimination and bring sustainable development. Current Focus Issues: • The Bidi Workers/ Marginal farmers and land less Families in Sangamner Tehsil ,Dist – Ahmednagar. • Project Affected Families Due to Irrigation Dams, Tribal etc.  in Junnar Tehsil, Dist Pune. Program Sectors: 1. Early Childhood Development 2. Health, Hygiene, and Sanitation 3. Education 4. Self Help Group 5. Livelihood & Rehabilitation of Ousters 6. Child protection and Child Rights 7.
