Hello, I’m Nick Harris, the founder of Career Discovery, specialising in supporting people through those challenging transitions that we all face at times in our lives. When was the last time you set aside an hour to think about your personal and professional goals, and how you might practically achieve them? I help people to maximise their personal and professional performance, whether focused around business, career or life coaching. I love helping people to see things from different perspectives, tackle things which have been holding them back and understand themselves better. I have a wealth of experience as a senior manager working in both the public and private sectors, and I have been working as a coach for over 15 years, with 3,000+ hours of coaching experience. I am a member of the International Coaching Federation and accredited at the organisation's highest level as a Master Certified Coach. I want people to wake up on Monday morning looking forward to the day as much as they look forward to Friday evenings. We spend most of our lives working, so it seems to me to be of paramount importance to enjoy our working lives, not just work for the sake of saving for retirement (if that is even a possibility nowadays!). I aim to make the coaching process enjoyable and fun whilst creating a context of rich personal learning, to enable my clients to improve their confidence, recognise their values and re-motivate themselves to identify and achieve their personal and career goals, leading to a more successful future. Challenges explored can typically include: getting the best from people, building successful teams, overcoming business and organisational challenges, developing emotional intelligence and improving resilience, managing the stresses of change, increasing self-confidence and influence, having a bigger impact as a leader, to name just a few.
