The Nigeria Immigration Service is the lead government agency responsible for border governance and migration management, ensuring the secure and orderly movement of people across Nigeria's borders. Vision: To be a modern, effective and efficient Immigration Service, manned by well trained and motivated workforce. Mission: To strengthen the security and prosperity of Nigeria through proactive, effective and efficient Border Security and Migration Management. The NIS comprises of ten (10) Directorates and seven (7) specialized Units, as outlined below: Directorates: Human Resources Management Finance and Accounts Planning, Research and Statistics Passport and Other Travel Documents Investigation and Compliance Border Management Migration Visa and Residency ICT and Cyber Security Works and Logistics Units: Legal Internal Audits Procurement SERVICOM Provost Press and Public Relations Gender Affairs Anti-Corruption and Transparency Innovation/Electronic Passport Management System (EPMS)
