Nikkahuset

The historic house of "Nikka" is now finally available for visitors to rent for their visit to Norway and the Fjord area. You can rent the whole house as a vacation rental, and the house is a four story 250 year old house which has been in the Groenning family for generations. Todays owner; Leif Groenning is the grandson of the famous "Nikka", and he has totally refurbished the entire house himself in an extreemely interresting style, inspired by the design of the 50`s and 60`s. His grandmother Nikkoline Myren Groenning, was famous for beeing a very good local chef and a baker of the traditional baked goods of Norway. "Nikka" has lived in this house most of her life, and here she has welcomed many visitors from near and far during her life. The house has 7 bedrooms and can house up to 12 people. 1.5 bathrooms, fully supplied kitche ready for you to bring your own food & drinks to enjoy. The house has several livingrooms, fireplace, TV, saound-system and everything you need in order to be totally comfortable during your stay as you explore the Fjord -area. We will be happy to assist you in creating the ultimate tour of the area, and we can also cater to your needs regarding food, experiences, and transportational needs. In 2022 during the spring, our own spa will be established on the farm. This is the ultimate experience if you want to have a private house during your stay. Every tourist attraction in the area is close by, and the centre of Valldal town is 10 minutes away with its local, shops, restaurants and waterfront. Welcome to Norway and Nikkahuset.
