Nikmaq Foundation

Nikmaq is dedicated to making a meaningful impact by establishing a sanctuary for women survivors of human/sex trafficking, requiring care and support. Our vision is to create a safe environment that encourages moral support, mental healing, and a compassionate community ready to listen and assist. Many individuals encounter significant challenges (not just limited to human/sex trafficking), including family violence, severe depression, and a lack of essential resources, particularly in remote reservations. Nikmaq is committed to providing assistance through therapeutic services, outdoor activities and more. We aim to acquire, farms and land to build a sustainable center that offers shelter and support for women in need. Furthermore, Nikmaq actively collaborates with tribes by organizing gatherings and sponsoring festivals to ensure the preservation and celebration of Native American culture across generations. Through these efforts, we strive to empower individuals and foster a sense of community and resilience among Native women.
