NILS STÆRK

NILS STÆRK was founded in 1997 with a dedication to create a forceful contemporary art gallery in Denmark with an international profile. Today the gallery represents artists from Scandinavia, Europe and the Americas working in different media, approaches and genres. In common the artists share a conceptual narrative and an interest to investigate and explore critical dissemination of current values and conflicts in today’s globalized society. Since its inception, Nils Stærk has contextualized the gallery program by developing and establishing collaborations with in particular the Central and Latin-American art scene, as well as art institutions, biennales and galleries throughout the world with the primary priority to create new projects and opportunities for the artists as well as placing their work in important art collections.
