Nine Oaks is thrilled to be attending Wine & Gourmet Japan, 12-14 April 2023! Find me at booth W-j50. Looking for something new? Our amber and black Georgian wines and spirits are aged in underground clay amphora called Qvevri and created from indigenous Georgian grapes grown on our estate. OUR STORY: Nine Oaks Estate makes wine – And Friends. Wine is Art! I love nothing more than sharing my love of Georgia, my reverence for our land and the beauty of working alongside friends. It’s why we make wine – an ancient drink that is as much art as it is science: to show the world that Georgian wine is the most incredible wine you’ve likely never tasted. Rare grapes Nine Oaks is known for amphora-aged amber wines (a.k.a. “orange wine”), rare Black Saperavi wine, and Chacha distilled high spirit. Our three white varietal grapes are called Kisi, Khikhvi, and Rkatsiteli. Our fourth is a very rare red grape called Saperavi (a.k.a. teinturier grape) with red inky flesh and purple skin. Ancient methods Nine Oaks makes wine the ancient Georgian traditional way, slowly, the ancient way, honoring Georgia’s UNESCO-certified, 8000-year winemaking legacy. Our premium wines are fermented and aged underground in clay amphoras called Qvevri for one year, resulting in complex, deeply textured and golden, amber colored wines. Our rare and indigenous grapes are estate grown on our biodiverse land. All of our wines are made naturally, with minimal intervention: low sulfur, indigenous yeast, and no added sugars, harmful pesticides, or herbicides.
