NIPE - Centre for Research in Economics and Management

Founded in 1999, the Centre for Research in Economics and Management (NIPE) is a sub-unit of the School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho. Initially with a more specialized profile in Macroeconomics and Economic Policy, the membership growth broadened its interests to other areas of Economics and, later, to Finance and Management. NIPE currently has about 100 members, of which 43 are full members. In the latest evaluation of the R&D Units carried out, in 2019, by the Foundation for Science and Technology, NIPE obtained the classification of Very Good, placing itself among the four research units best classified in the research area to which it belongs.
