The Office of Experiential Learning (OEL) at New Mexico State University provides individual and group programming to aid students enter the world of work through student employment, co-op / internship experiences, and/or full-time employment.
OEL hosts seven Career Fairs throughout the school year, including the Student Employment Fair (held on the first day of classes of the academic school year), Career Expo, Graduate & Professional School Fair, and Health Professions Career Fair in the Fall with Career Connections, Employment Extravaganza, and Educators' Job Fair occurring in the Spring.
OEL works with employers to schedule information booths and sessions (workshops) throughout the school year to bring students and recruiters together. This allows students to begin developing relationships to seamlessly transition from *school* to *career*.
OEL offers individualized advising sessions for co-op / internship experiences. Instructors and program coordinators are also encouraged to request co-op / internship outreach presentations. Outreach presentation requests can be made through the OEL website.
