The company was founded in 2016 by Dr Karl Christian Strømsem and Paal Hylin, two senior executives, both with more than 25 years’ experience from the international oil & gas-, renewable energy- and marine industries, including aquaculture. Based on the partners unique combination of deep technological insights, strong design- and engineering skills, vast international commercial- and operating experience, NØRD identifies, matures and develops business opportunities which are offered to the industry and investor community. A particular area of strength is conducting project funding processes based on public/private financing Today the company is involved international aquaculture projects, development of construction yard for composite material structures and electrification of marine public transport.
