A newcomer to Auckland's Point Chevalier, Nomad is a celebration of New Zealand's heterogeneous and multicultural composition, which in turn prompted the name ‘Nomad’. All of us are, in one way or another, nomadic- we all have our own, individual travels, lessons and experiences to share with one another.
The idea signifies the coming together of different peoples, sharing of information, skills, crafts and ideas. Within this, food, and the experience of sharing food with others, is a cultural constant - this is the vehicle or medium with which we endeavour to express the culmination of ideas and experiences of our individual travels.
The food and beverage offering is also a product of such sharing of techniques and skills – while influenced by flavours of the Mediterranean, the product is an international fusion of passion and craft. Nomad is about more than just food, wine, cocktails or hospitality – it is about a shared experience.
