Nomadic Doctors Uganda (NDU) is a healthcare initiative committed to delivering essential medical services to marginalized and hard-to-reach communities across Uganda. By adopting a nomadic approach—moving from one location to another—we aim to bridge the gap in healthcare access for underserved populations. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3, which seeks to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages(Rosen 2017). Our work emphasizes prevention and patient-centered care, addressing both medical and social determinants of health within these communities. Additionally, we facilitate connections to specialized healthcare, provide health education, and conduct research in the communities we serve. Recognizing that climate change poses a significant threat to population health, NDU strives to mitigate its negative impacts through environmentally sustainable healthcare practices.
