Nordic Kingfish Hanstholm, produces Yellowtail Kingfish – Seriola Lalandi – known as an exclusive warm water fish for Sushi and Sashimi. Nordic Kingfish is one of the worlds most modern onshore/landbased aquaculture - producing fish in fresh recirculated saltwater from the North Sea in a sustainable manner with respect to environmental and social surroundings - no use of any kind of antibiotics or medicines. No form of parasites, disease or pollution has ever been found in our fish or facility. We are certified by Aquaculture Stewardship Council. The fish are fed with feed that meets ASC standards. Our Yellowtail comes from fertilized eggs produced at our Marine Hatchery close by, in Denmark. We can trace the fish back to the mother fishes and all eggs are specific selected. The fingerlings are later moved in closed monitored tanks to Sashimi Royal where they grow to a size up to 2-4+ kilos. Harvest every week - all year round which means we can deliver a fresh an delicate product for raw consumption to High End customers. We use Ikijime slaugthering methods – ensures a fresh high-quality product by using a quick and etic slaughtering method – cutting spinal nerve system followed by bleeding in ice water.
