On 1st February 2019, 218 Strand Chambers became Normanton Chambers, named after Helena Normanton KC, the first woman to be admitted to an Inn of Court, the first to be briefed in the High Court and in the Old Bailey and one of the two first female King's Counsel. We believe Normanton Chambers is the first set named after a woman lawyer.
We will be opening our first regional office in Taunton, Somerset in September 2019.
