North Atlantic Offshore Inc. was established in July 1998 and is in the business of selling offshore oil supplies. This involves testing varies sizes of wires, ropes, chains and slings. Over the past few years, NAO have also expanded its operations into the mining and aquaculture industries.
The main office for NA Offshore is located in Paradise, NL at 1237 Kenmount Road. NA Offshore is ISO 9001:2015 registered, COR certified, operates a DNV certified rigging shop and test facility, and a state of the art synthetic department.
NA Offshore offers full in house testing services with our 500,000 lbs test bed for components such as slings, shackles, chain, lifting gear etc. Our maximum testing capability is 1,000,000 lbs. As well, NA Offshore has on site pad-eye testing and offers rental of water weight bags and load cells. Testing prototypes include proof testing, destruction testing, hold testing, elongation vs. time, stress vs. time, stress vs. strain, strain vs. time and average. NA Offshore also provides visual inspections, both in house and on site. The developed and implementation of NA Offshore secured on-line certificate database allows our customer’s unlimited access to search all their test certificates for future access.
Our DNV rigging shop houses a large inventory of wire rope, slings, polyester slings, chains, chain hoists, blocks, shackles and other related hardware. Wire services include hand splicing, mechanical eye, socketing, and wire installation.
