North West MPX

The 2025 Glencore North West MPX is a conference and expo will be held in May for the mining sector in the North West Minerals Province of Queensland. Featuring speakers from across the mining and resource sector, delegates will benefit from the opportunity to meet and exchange news and ideas with representatives from across the North West Minerals Province. A diverse, rich and vibrant region of Queensland, the North West Minerals Province boasts long term, highly successful mines coupled with new and exciting exploration projects. The mining of vanadium, a critical battery mineral, has added to the rich mining tapestry of traditional metals including copper, lead, zinc, gold and silver. In addition to the dynamic mining activity discussion, there will also be a spotlight on the future of energy delivery to the region and the ongoing agricultural activity of cattle farming, cotton production and other crops. Exhibitors showcasing their products and services will benefit from opportunities to engage the mining industry through displays, simulations and discussion. The provision of a catered morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on the exhibition floor will increase the networking benefits to exhibitors by providing delegates the opportunity to seek out information and build relationships with both exhibitors and each other. Additionally, the exhibition will be open to the public on Thursday 11th May 2023 between 1.00pm and 4.30pm. Host city Mount Isa is both the gateway to the North West Minerals Province and an outback city rich in heritage and culture, offering delegates an ideal base to explore the region’s mining and natural history, enjoy the adventures of a 4WD tour, jet skiing and fishing on Lake Moondarra or relaxing under a magnificent outback sunset.
