Northern Valley Catholic Social Service provides low-cost or free mental health, housing, vocational and support services to individuals and families in California’s Northern Sacramento Valley.
The corporate office of NVCSS is located in Redding, California with county branch offices located in Chico, Red Bluff, and other satellite offices located in Yreka, Corning, Gridley, Orland, Oroville and Paradise.
NVCSS works with a variety of funding sources and operates under contracts from state, federal, county and local entities. Through these resources and with the help of private donors, NVCSS has made major accomplishments in service delivery through the initiation of programs and projects in housing, mental health, teen services, family support and community education. The agency currently employs over 150 individuals within the counties of Butte, Glenn, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity counties. NVCSS is a multi-service agency whose mission is to “reach out effectively in care and in love to serve the unmet needs of all people in our communities.”
