The Northerners was established in 1967 by Monty Millson and is about loyalty, commitment, passion and belonging to the North Melbourne Football Club. In 2009 the Northerners became an incorporated association, running independently of the Club, with a view to increasing our ability to service our members and the returne we could generate to the Club! It was a hugely successful venture which we will continue to build on. It is often hard to put into words what a coterie group means and the benefits it can provide to its members. We often say we provide our members with unique experiences and an opportunity to participate in the inner sanctum of the Football Club whilst broadening member’s horizons, networking contacts, family time and much more. But what we are really about is the intangibles. The value adds and the support and service you deserve as a member of the oldest and most established coterie at the North Melbourne Football Club. Whilst the backbone and tradition of the Northerners revolves around encouraging our members to provide assistance to NMFC by way of offering your professional skills, mentoring and financial support to the Club, the Club and the Northerners also strive to provide assistance and value to you as a part of the fabric of the NMFC family!
