The No Such Thing as a Bully System has been growing since 2000 when Kelly began to understand bullying differently. She was involved in a situation where a principal was allegedly using bullying actions against students. In a fight that went on for two years, Kelly began to examine the turmoil created by our present definition of bullying.
The No Such Thing as a Bully System believes that all people use both bully actions and victim responses at times. The way to avoid both human responses is through very specific strengthening tools. A new definition for bullying is provided. NSTAAB partners with the Moment of Kindness Foundation. Rather than talking about trauma, The No Such Thing as a Bully System places a focus on kindness. The system provides memberships for parents, schools and professionals. A parent membership teaches you the skills so that you can teach and model them for your child. A school membership provides ALL school staff with access to learning materials to reinforce the strengthening skills, as well as a best practices policy. A professional membership includes Certification in the No Such Thing as a Bully System to enhance your ability to provide training to parents, school staff and students.
Some of the skills taught by The No Such Thing as a Bully System include: knowing and managing your fight or flight response, understanding yourself and your goals, preventing negative thoughts from taking hold, changing existing negative thoughts, providing appropriate consequences for bully actions, and changing the culture of your home and family.
