About Notfabriken

Notfabriken has been around since September 1, 2002, when we took over Warner/Chappell's sheetmusic. The focus on the company has therefore, since its inception, been the publishing of notebooks and songbooks. When it comes to publishing popular music on sheet music, we are one of the largest in the nordic countries, both in terms of number of titles and turnover. Since 2008, Notfabriken is 100% owned by NotPoolen AB. Notfabriken's operations are mainly publishing and selling of note- and songbooks. Some of the publisher's most well-known titles are 'Svenska visor' and '100 lätta låtar'-series. A significant part of the publication is also teaching materials and instructional books, where we have, among other things, the bestselling 'punkt.nu'-series, 'Gitarristen' and 'Elgitarr - rock & blues'. We publish about 20 new titles a year. In addition to our own production, we also distribute a large number of foreign editions, mainly from the US and the UK. We have titles from Alfred, Kjos, Hal Leonard, Music Sales, Faber, AMA and Carisch and more. Our editions are mainly sold through dealers in music stores and bookstores. We also market to various organizations and associations such as music schools, primary schools, libraries, choirs and congregations. An increasing number of our titles are also sold on exports, primarily within the nordic countries, but also within the EU, the USA and Australia. In addition to sheetmusic releases, we are engaged in general music publishing activities where the administration of print rights accounts for most of the sales.
