Notholt Lighting Design

We, notholt lighting design, are a team of eight light enthusiasts based in Hamburg, Germany. Our team loves to imagine atmospheric light sceneries. The light we create emits a welcoming feeling whichever area you enter: the dinner table in your favourite restaurant, your home, the working space, the next museum visit, a city or landscape walk – your welcoming feeling in your surrounding. Light affects the environment and needs his opposite, the darkness, to go on stage. Both is a resource that we have to use consciously and responsibly. We are motivated to be a part of the philosphy change in the construction sector towards a sustainable planning. As an independent lighting design company the entire market with all its creative solutions is at our disposal and we figure out the appropriate concepts. For a successfull project we believe in this essential tool: TEAMWORK - in a planning team, considering the different trades. Appropriate concepts become more and more interactive and the planning team has to be interactive, too. Furthermore we create visualisations, build mock-ups of specific light applications, sample luminaires and materials, make specific detail drawings and support the executing trades.
