Nova Beer Project

Nova Beer Project operates as a craft beer brand based in Cape Town, South Africa. We produce high quality sessionable craft beer for the adventurer. Besides our limited release Velo Series of four beers inspired by cycling, we have started to launch our Year Round series that will always be available to you. Additional to producing our own beers on contract, we offer brewing consulting services to new and existing breweries from recipe development, brewery optimization to turnkey projects. A "nova" is an exploding star that illuminates extremely brightly, but only for a certain amount of time before it settles back down to its usual luminosity again. This resonates for me because I believe that we’re only here for a short period of time, and we should make the most of it while we are here. The Nova beers are inspired by true adventure and all things outdoor. I find my inspiration when I’m out in nature, biking or hiking up mountains – hence the authenticity of my slogan “True craft beer. Inspired by nature” Nova operates as a gypsy brewery, and launched with a pale ale called Breakaway, which recently took home a silver medal at the African Beer Cup.
