About WIND Hellas
WIND is one of the most dynamic telecommunications companies in Europe and one of the most important employers in the Greek market with an annual turnover of €500 million and approximately 1,000 employees. WIND invests €100 mil. each year in building new generation ultra-high-speed networks both wireless, and landline networks all over Greece. In 2021 WIND established Hellenic Open Fiber to serve its goal of being a strategic partner of the national Recovery Plan for the country’s digital transformation and offer ultra-fast connectivity speeds to consumers and other carriers (wholesale) and with the focus on fiber optic networks up to home (Fiber to the Home) or business (Fiber to the Office). On 12 January 2021 WIND Hellas was acquired by United Group joining a leading telecommunications and media group in Southeastern Europe that will significantly enhance its competitiveness, strengthen its presence in the Greek market and enrich the services it can offer to Greek consumers and businesses. As an active member to institutions, industry associations and committees WIND enhances entrepreneurship and technological innovation and contributes towards the sustainable development of the industry.
