Dutch dentists are concerned about the negative impact of corporate dentistry in The Netherlands. The rapid 'big money' take over of private practices goes along with the gradual disapperance of patient-oriented, integral comprehensive dentistry and the rise of a low skill high volume revenue-based approach. Dutch private dentists feel the pressure of the Dutch Dental Association (KNMT), fully controlled by private equity, to sell their practices to corporate dentistry. This, notwithstanding concerns raised bij the Councel of European Dentists (CED), which KNMT has acknowledged and underwritten.
