NPO products include T-Flex® Tungsten, T-Flex® Bismuth, Lead Blankets, Lead + Steel fabrications, non-lead, lead, neutron, and magnetic shielding. Our T-Flex® product is flexible and can be manufactured to perfectly fit any component. Typical T-Flex® products include pipe shields, ribbon wrap, valve shields, and magnetic tiles. NPO utilizes 3D printing technology to create molds that allow T-Flex® to embody practically any 3D shape. Lead wool blankets are the industry standard radiation shield product for industrial applications. NPO is the leading manufacturer of lead wool blankets in the world and has been manufacturing them since 1976. Encasing Lead in steel eliminates its hazards and weak material properties, while retaining its attenuation performance and cost effectiveness. We take on lead/steel fabrication projects scaling from pounds to tons while achieving some of the most challenging tolerance scenarios. In addition to nuclear power, NPO also serves the nuclear medicine industry providing Type A shipping containers and other shielding. NPO collaborates with the radiochemistry experts at sister company, Eichrom Technologies, who work at the forefront of nuclear medicine separation chemistry, to design shielding for this industry. Our radioactive materials laboratory gives us the ability to test and develop shielding using hot radioactive sources in a radiopharmacy-like environment.
