NSGI is a corporation, which is committed to developing a global “virgin iron units” business, based on its own, patented, furnace design. The Pig Iron produced will be sold to the global steel industry as a preferred feedstock for Electric Arc Furnace, EAF, operations. The difference between pig iron and steel is only the carbon content (above 2% carbon is pig iron and below 2% carbon steel). The primary business proposition is based on using iron ore mining residues (tailings) that are too fine to be utilized in current ore-metal conversion processes, these tailings are currently landfilled, hence this new technology will convert unprocessed ore waste into a high value feedstock. The Mission of NSGI is to allow resources be exploited with smaller starting points viably and to develop synergistic by-product solutions enhancing project profitability for ourselves and our suppliers/customers.
