NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME - GEC RAIPUR

NSS (National Service Scheme) is a youth organization under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. NSS units are active in various colleges and universities across the country, working towards the development of the community and society. The NSS unit at GEC (Government Engineering College) Raipur is one such unit, consisting of enthusiastic volunteers who are committed to serving the community through various activities and initiatives. The unit is led by a team of dedicated faculty members who provide guidance and support to the volunteers. Over the years, the NSS unit at GEC Raipur has organized numerous events and initiatives aimed at addressing various social issues and concerns. Some of the notable events organized by the unit include: Blood Donation Camp: The NSS unit organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with a local hospital to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and to collect blood from willing donors. Cleanliness Drive: The NSS volunteers conducted a cleanliness drive in the nearby locality to promote cleanliness and hygiene. Tree Plantation Drive: In an effort to combat deforestation and promote a greener environment, the NSS unit organized a tree plantation drive in the college campus and nearby areas.
