NSW Veterans Employment Program

The NSW Government employs around 10% of the state’s working population. As the largest employer in NSW, it caters to almost 400,000 jobs across a broad range of industries and regions. Approximately 1,200 people separate from the ADF in NSW each year, the NSW Government is committed to capitalising on this large and highly skilled recruitment pool. The NSW Veterans Employment Program (VEP) was launched in 2016 after the Government made an election commitment to help veterans find sustainable and meaningful employment within the NSW Public Sector. VEP is a communications and education platform run by the Office for Veterans Affairs. The team is focussed on finding more ways to support veterans and help the NSW Government reach their employment targets.
