NTFT is one of Canada’s leading anti-bullying charities with a mission to empower youth and educators to foster kind, empathetic, and inclusive school communities.
Founded by award-winning performing artist and motivational speaker Elsie Morden at age 17 after surviving years of traumatic bullying, NTFT is committed to actively preventing bullying before it has serious long-term effects, hindering students’ potential. NTFT aims to diminish the occurrence of these consequential mental health and societal issues. This preventative approach not only enhances individual well-being but also reduces the demand for additional services. Ultimately, NTFT envisions a society and workplace where adults can thrive in a healthier and more positive environment.
The charity’s initiatives encompass a range of approaches, including educational programs, awareness campaigns, and partnerships with support services. A cornerstone of the charity’s efforts is the annual NTFT Tour, Powered by BRP. Utilizing the transformative power of story and song, dedicated presenters deliver engaging presentations to schools and community organization, offering valuable insights into the dynamics of bullying, strategies for conflict resolution, empathy-building, and resilience.
The NTFT Tour is also an opportunity to introduce wellness principals into the corporate world and music industry. A lot of artists and musicians struggle with their mental health and at NTFT we are committed to uplifting them by providing them with both a meaningful platform and compensation. Representation is so important and by committing to artists feeling seen, heard, and understood while amplifying their voice, story, and songs, we can make the greatest impact. Music transcends barriers and serves as both a healer and a bridge for connection, making our school presentations relevant and memorable.
